Condoms LELO HEX Respect XL

Inside, they have a network of 350 hexagons that, according to the manufacturer, reduces slipping, and the outside is smooth. They are 0.055 to 0.060 mm thick, come lightly lubricated and the latex smell is neutralised. The box holds 12.

Who the LELO HEX Respect XL condoms are for and who they aren't for

It suits you if

• You are looking for large condoms, with a nominal width of 58 mm.
• You find the HEX Original too snug and want 15 mm more length and 4 mm more width.
• You want a condom that is textured on the inside and smooth on the outside.
• You prefer condoms that come already lubricated, but only lightly.

Better look elsewhere if

• You have a latex allergy. They are made of natural latex.
• You need more than 58 mm of width. Take a look at the Mister Size 64.
• 58 mm is too loose for you. The LELO HEX Original is 5.4 cm wide.

How to use LELO HEX Respect XL condoms

1. Open the wrapper with your fingers, not with teeth or scissors, so you don't damage the condom.
2. Put it on when the penis is erect, before any genital contact.
3. Pinch the tip so no air is trapped inside.
4. Roll it down to the base of the penis.
5. Add lubricant if you need it, water-based or silicone-based. It already comes lightly lubricated.
6. Hold it at the base when you pull out, before the erection goes down, and use a new one each time you have sex.

Storage

It is single use: tie it in a knot afterwards and put it in the bin, not down the toilet. Store unused condoms somewhere cool and dry, away from sunlight.

Our tips

• Do not use if you have a latex allergy.
• Do not use oils, creams or petroleum jelly with latex: they weaken it.
• Check the expiry date and do not use it if the wrapper is damaged.
• Do not wear two condoms at the same time.
• Use a new one if you go from anal to vaginal sex.

What the science says about condom size

The studies we cite did not test this condom. What has been studied is how comfort and fit influence condom use.

• 14,000 participants, at least, in Flanders (Belgium). A survey study of more than 14,000 participants concludes that practical barriers, such as discomfort and fit, influence whether condoms are used. Dewaele et al., 2024, International journal of environmental research and public health.
