The essentials
Aquaglide: what you need to know before you buy
Is it for you?
Who Aquaglide is for, and who it isn't
It suits you if…
- You want a water-based lubricant in the size that suits you: the 50 ml tube to carry with you or a bottle of up to a litre.
- You use latex condoms or silicone toys. With a water-based one there's no problem.
- You want something that has almost no smell or taste and washes off with water.
- You use it often: the one-litre bottle has a pump and you can use it with one hand.
Better look elsewhere if…
- You want it for the shower or the bath. Because it is water-based, the water washes it away.
- You avoid glycerin. All sizes contain it.
- You are trying for a pregnancy. The manufacturer notes that gynaecologists advise using it sparingly or not at all in that case.
Size and measurements
From the 50 ml tube to the one-litre bottle
The one-litre bottle is about 27.5 cm (10.8 in) tall and 8 wide: it is for keeping on the bedside table or in the bathroom. To carry with you there is the 50 ml tube, and between the two, the 125 and 200 ml bottles.
