What the science says
What the science says about silicone and water-based lubricants
The studies we cite did not test this lubricant. What was studied is the use of water-based and silicone lubricants in general.
In a 5-week diary, water-based lubricants were associated with fewer genital symptoms than silicone ones. Both types were associated with greater sexual pleasure and satisfaction. This is not a cause-and-effect comparison.
