Our usage tips
How to use the CalExotics Scandal spreader bar
- Agree on a safeword or stop signal with your partner before you begin.
- Unfold the spreader bar before fitting the cuffs.
- Fasten the cuffs with the Velcro around the wrists or ankles, without making them too tight.
- To change position, open the Velcro, reposition and refasten.
- Fold the spreader bar when you've finished, ready for storage.
Cleaning
Wipe the cuffs and fabric with a damp cloth and a little mild soap. Leave everything to air dry completely before folding and storing.
Our advice
- Always stop immediately when your partner uses the safeword or stop signal.
- Keep round-tipped scissors within reach so you can release your partner at any time.
- Check hands and feet regularly. If they become cold, tingle or change colour, loosen the cuffs immediately.
- Never leave a restrained person alone.
- If spanking is involved, avoid the head, neck, spine and kidney area.
- Stop using it if you notice skin irritation where the cuffs sit.
