Silicone-based lubricants: the longest lasting

Silicone-based lubricants are not absorbed or dried out — zero reapplications even during long sessions. Their silky texture is ideal for anal sex, shower play (they don't dilute in water), and prolonged penetration. Over 170 options.

When to choose silicone and when not to

Choose silicone: anal sex (maximum duration), sex in water (shower, bathtub), long sessions, use with glass/metal/ABS toys. Do not choose silicone: with silicone toys (it degrades them), if you want easy cleaning (requires soap, won't wash off with water alone). Leading brands: Pjur Original (the standard), Swiss Navy, System JO Premium, Überlube.

Frequently asked questions about silicone lubricants

Why shouldn't you use silicone with silicone toys?

The liquid silicone in the lubricant chemically reacts with the solid silicone of the toy, degrading its surface (it becomes sticky, porous). Always use water-based with silicone toys. With glass, metal, ABS, or wood toys, silicone is perfectly safe.

Does silicone lubricant stain sheets?

It can leave greasy stains on fabrics. They can be removed with degreasing soap (like dish soap) in the wash. If you're concerned, use a waterproof sheet or towel underneath. The advantage: you need much less than water-based (2-3 drops are enough), so there's less liquid to stain.
